Tony Maldonado, age 66, passed away due to the coronavirus on April 26, 2020, at Baylor Scott & White Hospital in Waxahachie.

He was born on March 14, 1954, in Waxahachie, Texas, to Carmen Raya and Elias Maldonado Sr.

Tony is preceded in death by grandparents, Cirilo and Antonia Maldonado; parents, Elias Sr. and Carmen Maldonado; aunts, Lois Maldonado and Lisa Hererra; and sisters, Vickie Sanchez and Mary Lou Pendeton.

He is survived by brothers, Elias Maldonado Jr. and wife Mary, Richard Maldonado, and Walley Munoz; sister, Cynthia Maldonado; uncles, Henry Maldonado and wife Martha, and Daniel Maldonado; loving nieces, Stephanie, Lori, and Cassie; and special friend and long-term care roommate, John Curtis.

Tony loved old western movies, Elvis music and the Dallas Cowboys. He was a kind, gentle, Christian man who will be missed and forever remembered by his family and friends.

The family would like to give a heartfelt thank you to the doctors and nurses at Baylor Scott & White Hospital in Waxahachie for their compassionate care.
