Remembering Daniel James Parr

Age 60, Cape Cod, Mass.
Passed away on April 29, 2020

He was born in Cambridge, Massachusetts on February 9, 1960 to Robert and Edith (Lowe) Parr, passed away after a hard fought battle with COVID-19. When Daniel was young his family moved to Cape Cod where he would live the rest of his life.

Danny was a loving and compassionate person to all. His sense of humor, patience, and generosity will be remembered by those fortunate enough to have known him. He was an artisan at crafting and building anything he put his mind to. He would dependably and magnanimously use his skills and resources to help others in need. His friends and family knew him as a non-judgmental and empathetic listener who was always there. He was Danny to his family and those who knew him, Dad to his sons, Papa to his grandchildren, but to all he was a friend. His kind-heartedness will be sorely missed.

Daniel was preceded in death by his father, Robert, and his mother, Edith, and step-father Donald Ryder. He is survived by his loving partner Deborah Devaney of Harwich, MA; his two sons Seth (Jaime) and Kyle (Brittany); his grandchildren Landon, Ava, and Lennon; Deborah’s children Joe Donna and Tyra Canning and grandchildren Tia, Joey, Sam, and Luke; his siblings Kathleen DeLalla, Joanne Miller, Robert Parr, and Kevin Parr, and his loyal dog Chewy.
